My main concern is with the world order

George Soros
About This Quote

In the 1930s, a man named Hermann Rauschning traveled to several countries in Europe and Asia. He was a German politician who was close to Adolph Hitler. In his book entitled The Voice of Destruction, Rauschning wrote that he asked Hitler what he was most interested in. Hitler said that he cared more about the world order than any country’s economic or political systems.

No matter how prosperous a country was, if it ended up with a bad world order – that is, if the people were not happy – Hitler would not care about it. In other words, he wanted a stable world order where all the people were happy and felt secure.
